This heat wave seems like it will never end! It's been so hot lately that I haven't felt like doing much crafting. Mostly I have been hanging out, reading on my Kindle Fire (my favorite possession!) and churning out slushies on my margarita machine (another favorite possession) :).
But I did manage to blow the dust off the crochet hook long enough to make up some flower ring decorations/ornaments. Last fall when I did the "Ringing in Christmas" ornament series (links to those patterns can be found on the sidebar of the blog), I received some requests to design ring decoration for other seasons of the year.
Flowers are stitched around a 2" plastic ring. They can be strung together to make a bunting, or connected vertically to make a wall hanging.
Finished size of each flower is 4" across.
Hope everyone is staying cool! :)

Okay, now where are my little plastic rings. I know they are here somewhere . . .
i LOVE these!
Very sweet! Thanks for sharing your pattern!.. As for the rings, just an idea to share here.. I like to recycle, and so I use the rings you find on the top of a soda bottle.. that plastic ring that's left when you first remove a cap from a brand new bottle. I save them, and now I don't have to hunt/pay for the ones in the stores anymore! Now I can put the money towards more yarn or other more necessary craft supplies!.. Thanks again for sharing, and hope you're enjoying your weekend! ~tina

They look so lovely - such a great idea for the rings. Many thanks for sharing them. Hope you have a good week.
I am just curious as to where you get your 2" plastic rings? I have found one place, but I have to go out of my way to get to the store that only carries them. I just love all you plastic ring patterns!! :D
Hi Inez,
There are several places where I get my rings. I've been able to find them at Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Joann's and Michaels. I usually buy them at the store, but I'm sure they are available online too.
Hope this helps! :)
Doni
Thanks for yet another awesome Ring Pattern.
I found my 2" rings on ebay; however, I saw in one of the crochet groups that I am that you can use the rings used for hanging shower curtains. Hope this helps someone.
Hi there. I love your pattern. Please may I have your permission to use is in a "make a flower around a bottle ring" workshop at a knitting/crochet retreat I am going on.
Many thanks
